If the aforementioned deadlines are not reached, a fine will be applied. Failure to comply by the May 1 deadline results in a $500 penalty, and failure to comply by the following quarterly deadlines results in further $500 penalties, for a total of $2,000 in fines.

To compliance with Local Law 84, property owners must submit water and energy consumption to the EPA’s Portfolio Manager platform. This monitoring tool allows property owners to evaluate the efficiency of their facility to that of similar structures. You must submit a comprehensive report for each building covered by the Act.
