Pang Sin Bee had a history of breaking into people’s houses and stealing from them. For one count of theft and one count of housebreaking, he was given an eight-year preventive detention sentence on Monday (17 January) last year. He had broken into a house, unknowingly locked the gates, and taken a can of Coca-Cola out of the refrigerator because he was thirsty.

Along with these charges, It also considered three other charges, including possession of housebreaking tools such as a manual hacksaw, two screwdrivers, two pliers, and a penknife, during his sentencing.
